Already before our Cairo trip with Simsim Samir explains to us, that the hotel Delta Pyramids won’t meet the luxury we were used to from our hotel compound. In fact the Delta Pyramids had four stars but only in the countries’ category which matches to three “normal” stars. Nevertheless the hotel would be clean and close to the Giza’s Pyramids. Well, I am thinking, that sounds honest and furthermore we wanted to see Cairo instead of hanging around in the hotel.
In other words: any luxury that is not used by us does not matter to us.

our room in Cairo View of the delta Pyramids hotel to Gizeh

Indeed, it doesn’t seem to be very inviting and if we stayed for a longer time, we would indulge us in a bit more comfort. We don’t really trust in the lift, too and that’s why we only took it once and from now on, we took the stairs to our room in the fourth (or fifth) floor. In the bathroom, one of the little bulbs is broken and furthermore the shower is that small, that it accommodates only one person.

and thus it looks in the other direction yes, nevertheless, those we also know

Well, the room is tidy, the bed is clean and comfortable and the view is just surprising. Next to the pyramids means in Delta Pyramids: room in view of the pyramids. The view is especially beautiful from the roof terrace of the hotel, you get there by walking through the fitness-area. Here above, there’s also a little pool and a few couches. But we don’t dare to jump into the water, we enjoy drinking a few cool drinks in the shadow of the hotel and of course in direct view of Giza.

Relax on the roof terrace

A little bit relaxed, we don’t know how it works with the dinner in the evening. Buffet or à la carte? It seems like both is possible. But then, we were brought to a table and we can decide between two menus (chicken with rice and something else, which doesn’t sound very appetizingly). We have to wait for a little while, but everything is there betimes, so that we can start on time for the light show at the pyramids of Giza before we are fast asleep at night in Delta Pyramids in spite of a wedding ceremony.
