Travelogue about our Namibia Roundtrip

Sossusvlei - Dune 45

All in all we spent two weeks in Namibia with “Berge & Meer”. After landing in Windhoek we set of on safari into the Kalahari. After having seen the Quiver Tree Forest and the Fish River-Canyon we payed Duwisib Castle a visit, climbed up the dune 45 and hiked through a small salt pan as well as a part of the Sesriem-Canyons.
After that we spent two days in Swakopmund, before traveling to the Etosha National Park via Cape Cross, the rock paintings of Twyfelfontein and the Petrified Forest. To our astonishment we were able to observe an astounding number of giraffes, zebras, elephants, wildebeest and impalas, lions, warthogs, kori bustards and many more on our three game drives there.
After a short detour to the Othikoto lake and the Waterberg-Plateau, as well as a safari (including a rhino) our trip eventually ended in Windhoek. Whereas the capital of Namibia does not really have a lot to offer, we were able to gather a lot of amazing experiences and memories from our tour through the country.
