Kalahari Sands Hotel |
Fantastic is a receptionist in Kalahari Sands Hotel. OK, we must go through the lower (luggage) entrance. A Person with hot Cacao gives us a surprise. For the whole two weeks only water drinks this is really tasty, so that we cannot refuse a second cup. Fortunately the lady has prepared enough cups relatively to our demand.
The Hotel Kalahari Sands located just in the centre of Windhoek, so that we can visit the old stronghold with museum, church, pedestrian area, also Ink palace, former zoo and Kudu-monument conveniently just on foot. There are also some cheap restaurants nearby. According to our calculation for our trip in a so peaceful realm except the disappearance of a woman after visiting the bistro “Zum Wirt” and an unfortunate shooting murder of a vacationer, we prefer to lodge in the hotel.
After refreshing shower we order two portions of the ice-cooled Rock Shandys and munchies in the bar instead of having dinner. We get vigourous from the Joker in the casino of hotels closely, and we are exposed to the noises from Game-Automation for a long time. But anyway this is a good furnished and decorated hotel. Everywhere on the wall you can find paints of the characteristic landscape and animals from Namibia.
Our room is neat and attractive decorated. The bed is comfortable and the pralines on the table make our vacation sweeter. The big window supplies us with spacious outlook of Windhoek.
The air conditioner in the restaurant is not so adorable because when we for the second time go there for dinner, it makes the chilling atmosphere and I am forced to take back my (favourite thick) pullover from my room. The Buffet is plentiful. But people must wait for a while because so much stuff should be cooked.
