Finally we find the peace to listen to the short specifications at the readout of the keys before we go to our commodious and very clean room. A very welcome surprise after the guess that the lodges will to spiral downward from now on.
A few steps from the entrance of our bungalows distant is growing a melon. I thought “Great, then we didn’t have to starve.” But you mustn’t wait that long like we had to find out the other morning. Over night namely we get a visit which pitched into a mellow fruit.

In addition there is a little veranda outside the room which asks for staying. With a view directly to the near savannah. Nice, for the landscape looks finally like we have imagined it. Only some animals, maybe wildebeests, Oryx or at least springboks didn’t appear. But therefore lots of birds, which collect nectar in the garden or fly round a bush to the reverse side of the photographer …

The dining-hall of the Namib Desert Lodge suits us likewise. The walls at the buffet are painted with scenes from the African everyday life, like we imagine it. The indirect light arranges for a pleasant ambiance and the employees are kind and playful. That means: when I record the hall one of the waitress is right striking attitudes before I’m to record the whole group.
