Game Drive at the Epako Lodge |
After the breakfast we start our trip to the surrounding area of the Lodge. The little safari cost some extra money but we knew that as we already had many safaris; but how often do we come to Namibia? So it was natural that we went on the safari.
We drive in two little “open air” jeeps. The seats on the back side are higher, which enable everyone to look out. But even without that facility we would have a great time.
Besides it is far better to sit open air than having the unhealthy breeze of the air-conditioning in a crowded bus, don’t you think so?
The animals were faster than we were. They left the Lodge some time before us.
Shortly after we crossed the security gates, we see some kudus and blue wildebeest; and also a giraffe. No, not one giraffe but a whole horde! It’s really fascinating how they move.
