Farewell to Namibia

Two weeks Namibia - If someone asks us, whether the journey was worth it, we will only be able to answer with a clear "YES". Certainly the distance is enormous. We often spend more time in motor-coach than on our way. So the sights in the east of the Quiver Tree Forest and the Fish River Canyon are wide apart. We shouldn't have missed the trip Kalahari - even though we should have brought along gloves and a thick pullover...

we (who also, otherwise?)

We found the visit and stroking the cheetahs impressively also as the climb to the hill scenery – despite of the strain – by Sesriem, one of the most beautiful days during the tour. Especially when we found a possibility to walk in the African scenery by ourselves.

We we’re lucky with Swakopmund. Since we haven’t much been aware neither of the sand and dust storm nor of the feared fog – and nonetheless we went trough it.
We won’t forget the "Black Forest Cake ". Also as the woman in the museum who only meant cause of the gathering fog: “Yes, that’s our south-west. When he comes, it’s going to be cold.”

We didn’t expected how many seals at the Cross Cape and how many different animals in the Etosha National Park we can watch at. Just for that the journey was worth it. However, also for the little Gamedrive in the Epako Lodge at there many giraffes encountered us. For us that was already a great conclusion of an eventful trip ago the return journey to Windhoek.
