It is very beautiful that all bridges are situated in different heights. If we are standing at half height of the stems by one of the rope bridges, we can almost overlook swathes of the cloud forest. But this view is not always guaranteed because on three of four days the whole forest is covered by fog.
The reason for that is humid air, which the wind transports from the Pacific Ocean to the mountains. However, you can see at least a plenty of different plants during the walking-tour. In the forests about Monteverde expand more than 550 species of epiphytes. Regarding to these epiphytes with their great weight, abundant branches and even complete trees dump in the depth. During this process there are established many holes in the whole forest which in turn gives other plants the possibility to get upwards quickly.
After one and a half hours, which is also the recommended period, we have managed the eight and last rope bridge. With such a great feeling of having experienced such an astonishing calm and beautiful tour, we are going for the next stop to the garden of the hummingbirds.
