Birds at the Hotel Arenal Oasis

blue-gray tanager (Thraupis episcopus)
Thick-billed Euphonia (Euphonia laniirostris)

The next morning, we first look forward to remember that it does not rain more and bruises are back in the sky. During our second tour through the forest and on to the reception we are also happy about the birds who sit between us in the trees. Sure we make every effort to photograph or to film them before it is time in the little restaurant for breakfast...

woodpeckers

Chestnut-Mandibled Toucan (Ramphastos swainsonii)

gray-headed chachalaca (Ortalis cinereiceps)

...and follow us the birds. Because when there's breakfast for the tourists, some pieces of banana and other fruits are distributed in the area. So we are actually little come to eat, because we are constantly discovering new birds: piculets, thick-billed euphonia, blue-grey tanager, a whole swarm grey-headed chachalaca which are between the perennials such as Raptors through and all the other drive. Until this finally stops by a chestnut-mandibled toucan and slowly moved his head from side to side. It was just great and for us an unforgettable morning.
