“Oh my god!” is what comes first to our mind when we look at all the busses near the Baldi Springs. However, we’re here now, we have paid entrance fee already at home and we are even able to park in a safe and guarded parking area. When we look at the foyer, we suspect something even worse. Few metres behind the foyer, there is a huge pool with a bar inside and around it there are a couple of people. Also there is the sound of music coming from above and so we fear not to find a quite spot anywhere.
But far wrong. Although there was still quite a rush at the key- (5 US-$) and the towel-desk (10 US-$ deposit), most of the visitors are picked up by buses to be brought to dinner; so shortly after we find a whole row of free divan beds. And a second pool that isn’t so crowded and loud anymore. And a few yards further two pools which are beautifully planted on the sides. A few steps ahead we get to some other pools. And another few steps further… you know.
We didn’t count how many pools there are in Baldi Springs. Maybe a dozen or 15 or 20? It’s no odds. Because there is plenty of water and pools. Cold-water pools, whirlpools, Jacuzzis, lukewarm pools, 38-degree-warm, 40-degree-hot and 42-degree-too-hot pools, small pools within big pools, showers, underwater massages, divan beds at and in the pool, a waterfall and heaven knows what else. So a little walkabout was already enough to wash away all our concerns and the only question that is left is in which of the pools to go first and afterwards.
As we finally had relaxed very high and slow in the posterior and superior area of the hot springs, we come to several massage stations. Of course you can care and indulge yourself elsewhere and this without having to feel like bulk good, because of the very roomy and nice, green bath. Only the steam bath is not recommendable. Reason for that is that it is, at a temperature about 45 degrees, mostly made up of wood.
So let’s go quickly out of this coop and up on the giant-slide. Actual there are two of them. After the low one looks very ordinary, I take the final steps to the other. The fun begins unhurried, after looking the legitimate references over. After about seven metres comes a wave from the left. Then it rumbles a few times, you hit your back on the right and the left side, and a few seconds later, you jump quickly like a shot into the pool. Awesome!! And the little bruise can only mean one thing: over and over again!!!
